On Aug. 26, 2019, Life Care Centers of America presented Garden Terrace Healthcare Center of Federal Way, Washington, with the Facility of the Year Award for its Northwest Division.
The award was given during the company’s annual management meeting at its headquarters in Cleveland, Tennessee. It recognizes the facility as the premier location in the division, which includes 26 skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities in Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
Criteria for this award include excellent customer service, a strong rehab department and involvement in the community.
Garden Terrace, led by Executive Director Megan Larson, was commended for its five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, as well as its active volunteer program. Several former patients who have gone home after having short-term rehabilitation are now volunteers.
“We congratulate Megan and her team of associates who, together, have developed such a strong facility,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president. “This staff sets the bar for excellence in performance among all nursing centers. The patients at Garden Terrace of Federal Way are the real winners as they benefit from the works of love performed by the team every day.”
